This is a step by step tutorial. No digital medium has been use, no photoshop, no wacom tablet ...and I'm very proud of it. Much respect to the people who use them, in fact, I'm a fan of many of you kids...
...But this is real, old school art, made with the same old school elements : water, earth, wind and fire. I know I'm a dinosaur facing extinction...
STEP 0 : Let's Get This Party Started!
What can I say about Tera Patrick...men...She looks better in real life. That photo with me was taken on her Birthday party...She's super HOT! ...and very cool too.
She asked for a painting with that purple outfit...
She asked for bigger and round boobs....who don't And the outfit should be thigh and the hair loose with movement. I have used many references, but the concept was very simple so I didn't have many troubles to come with the final image. STEP 1 : Mask the area where you would like to apply the color with tape or frisket. Cut it with a sharp blade. STEP 2 : Apply the color in light layers of ink so that the dark areas of pencil are still visible. STEP 3 : Repit the same for the rest of the body STEP 4 : I wanted to save the detail of the pencil for the eyes and lips, so, I paste and cut (with a very sharp blade) film to cover them. Then apply the tone with the airbrush. STEP 5: Cover the darker flesh tones over the base. Cover the darkest shades of pencil. The pencil is the key. STEP 8: With a soft sable brush go back over the painted area and add detail. Apply the highlights with white. Complete one section at a time so you get more control of the tones. STEP 9: Side Light effect. First apply white. Then add a thin line of blue with the brush, between the white and the flesh tones. STEP 10: Repit the same process for the rest of the body . First the next skin tone. STEP 12 : Just repeat the whole process with the other parts of the body More steps coming soon...
Draw the entire painting in detail using H,HB,B and 3B pencils. H for precise lines, HB for the soft tones, B for the dark tones, 3B for shadows.
The pencil stage is the most important part of the painting

The more detail that is drawn with the pencil, the better the end result. Make sure to apply fixative over the entire drawing when finished.

STEP 6: Peel back tape from both legs and compare the tones of both legs. Compare is important. You don't want to make the darker flesh tone too dark.
STEP 7: Repeat STEP 5 but now, with a soft brown, work the shadow areas. Compare.

Then the shadows (left) and after that the high lights (right)
For the blue light effect, apply blue first then white, both with the airbrush. After that retouch with the paint brush.
STEP 11 : The hand is all paint brush job. No airbrush.

STEP 13 : The face. Apply the big color areas with the airbrush. The details of the face are to be painted with the fine brush.

It's such a shame that so much these days is being done on computers, long may you continue using traditional mediums Amando, your art has some much more depth and reality than digital.
from a fellow "trad/color pencil freak"
