This a comment promo, for myspace. It is a glimpse of my last painting.

For those who are wondering "where the heck are Armando's new paintings". Well, 2007 was a very rude year for me, so I did not paint too much.

Also, for those who think my life is full of glamour, well it comes with a price, a very high price (you probably don't want to hear this)...Anyway , life is passing the bill to me and the price is too high. My personal life is a mess ( yeah, I'm not ashamed to tell this) and is very relative to my art...well like I said , you probably don't want to hear the laments of an old pin-up artist.

Anyway...

Venus is my latest painting. A very very very special painting. It's Thursday night, 11:04 PM. New Chinese year, full moon eclipse and I just finish it.

There's a big story behind this painting (six years in the making). And I'm going to tell the story here and it's going to be an exclusive of DA. Plus I'm going to put the full image here too, along with a small step by step, exclusive.

I am sorry to hear 2007 was bad for you. I know how you feel, 2007 was a bad year for me too. *HUGS* Hopefully 2008 will be a great year for you! :) I have to say, I love your work and have for quite some time now but just recently saw that you were on DeviantArt. I look forward to definitely adding your prints to my collection and hopefully one day being able to afford one of your masterpieces. Empathies, A-H. So far, this has been a bad Decade for me. I finally figured out that the real reason I tend toward self destruction is that I don't trust anyone else to do a better job of it. In my autobiography, I wasn't even mentioned by name. But my auto was. Even my twin brother forgets my birthday.

But, when I get really sad, I remember the words of my wise old Uncle Abe, who told me, "Mickey, if you want to wake up with a smile on your face in the morning, go to sleep with a hanger in your mouth the night before!" And it seems to work :sun:
