I did this sketch during the 5 days of SD Comic Con, little by little. Fans really like to see the artist doing something "live" and many people stop by to see the progress.
This is a 8.5x11.5" so is only a 1/4 the size that I use for a painting.
Also the paper is Opalina (a Mexican paper) . It's way out better than regular Bond paper and allows more detail and soft blends. But is not as good as the Strathmore 500 board that I use for paintings. Hint: The paper makes a lot of difference with the drawing.
I may change the name later and probably redo this concept for a painting with the full wings spread.

This drawing is dedicate to a friend that is going to do a journey with no return. I may not see her again but I will always remember her, because she is brave and she has a big heart.
