New York.

These are photos that I took with my point and shoot camera, a year ago. It was my first visit to NY.

I'm not, by any means a great photographer. This is what I got walking the streets of NY, in my 5 day trip. 5 days are not enough to see NY, specially if you are into the 'party hard' mode

LOL! Anyway...

I don't know why people talk shit about the New yorkers!.

Every single people that I talked in NY was kind and cool. The Police man, the Fire fighter, the Taxi Driver,
the Pizza guy, The clerk, The waitress, The doorman, The Barman.

I have a lot of people that I love in NY, you know. Family and friends. People that I will die for.

I was walking next to ground zero.

Let me tell you, this is still a big country. no matter how much money you have in your pocket. You can make it, You can still make it!

The land of opportunity for real. Look at the colors of your flag. Wear them, embrace them.

In this land you can do anything that you want, you just have to be brave to lose everything that you have, first.

Faith. Faith in what you are, what you can do.

I'm not gonna lie to you, I'm struggling like you. But Hey!

I'm not American. I wasn't born in this land. I'm an outsider. An Alien. But I have a document. A document that America gave it to me. This document says: I know who you are. I know what you were doing,
I know you are the best. I want you here, with me.

That's one of the biggest honors that I got in my life. I renounced to everything that I got. My home, my family, my friends, my love. For her, America! Because I know it worth it, because I know it's the right thing to do. Destiny , my destiny.

Sacrifice. We have to stop thinking in a selfish way. It's not about us, but what we can do, the best that we can do. For that dream, the Dream.

Today is 9/11. Ten years ago I was finishing and signing this piece [link] . I saw everything on the TV. First plane, second plane, Pentagon, flight 93. I thought the wold will end that day.

Excellent work.
I totally agree about NYC and New Yorkers. I've been 3 times, once before 9/11, once right after when it was a crater, and once after they got the train station done at Ground Zero. I'm a Californian so getting to NYC isn't easy. Everytime nothing but helpful, friendly people and OMG the best food I've ever eaten, even from streetside counters, etc...

Great tribute dude!

Tear in my eye I write. Thank you. Good pictures, Great words. I am proud you are here. Everyone who understands the dream, is my brother.
I dont want to put words into anyones mouth but I think I may be speaking for a few people when I say wer would love to see the DLOP's version of the statue of liberty.
Thank you for taking the time to write that. You sir make me proud to be an American and a little ashamed that I might take it for granted some days. We are fortunate to have someone with drive like you have be a part of our country and I wish we had more people like you. I know you day to choose a different path than being an artist because its so hard but you are my inspiration and give me the determination I think I'll need to be an artist myself.

I love you, Armando :3

Algún día espero poder visitar EUA. Leer esto me hizo pensar en tantas cosas...
Armando, after reading that, as far as I am concerned. You are an American. Maybe not by law. But in spirit.

And I, my friend, am glad to have you here, bro. :salute:
